Dial 0844 / 0870 Numbers on O2 using your inclusive minutes to enjoy Free international calls

Since July 2006 O2 is charging 25p / minute for contract users to call 07744 numbers. However O2 allows 0844 & 0870 numbers in inclusive minutes. You can dial 0844 / 0870 numbers from your O2 Mobile if you have inclusive minutes left. This is a good way to call international destinations out of your allownce.

You can now dial 0844 / 0870 numbers using your O2 Mobile to call many international destinations. These calls are not charged separately if you have inclusive minutes on your contract phones.

Please note this option is not available to contracts started and upgraded after 26 April, 2007.
If you rely on these numbers to call internationally please do not upgrade your contract or you will no longer have free access to 0844 / 0870 numbers.

For people who started or upgraded their contracts after 26 April 2007 please check 07700 numbers.

Sometime the customer support tells you that these numbers are chargeable but these are still part of your inclusive (free) minutes. You can make a small call and check your bill or inclusive minutes balance to be sure. You can also confirm this on O2's website in Terms & Conditions pages. If you dont have inclusive minutes left these numbers will be charged around 35p/ minute in daytime and 10p in evening / weekend depending on your specific price plan. To keep an eye on your remaining inclusive minutes registering your mobile on O2's website is recommended. O2 updates inclusive minutes in 2 days. Alternatively you can call O2 customer support on 0800 005 005 and enquire about your remaining inclusive minutes.

O2 had a price plan named Leisure Time Plus with 1000 offpeak minutes for just 20 pounds and Leisure Time Plus All with 1000 offpeak cross network minutes. These tariffs were quite popular for people calling 0870 numbers. You can still get an offpeak plan on O2 with 1000 offpeak cross network minutes.

0844 Weekend availability:
Since most 0870 destinations are only available durin weekdays, you can use 0844 numbers for call week around. These numbers provide less destinations than 0870 but all destinations available work 24/7.
